Please go to https://apply.uwc.org/ and register as a new account. You'll be required to verify your account. Once logged in, you'll be able to see 'UWC Nepal NC - Entry 2025' Please click on it and follow the instructions from there on. Best of luck!

If you do not have access to proper internet access or a device, we can also email you the application form.  Once completed, you must email us the application form (pdf) before the deadline. Please write to us at info@np.uwc.org explaining your reasons for the need for the pdf form. However, the online application form is highly recommended.

You must complete your application by 30 Oct 2024 (11:59 pm Nepal time) to be considered for the selection process for UWC-2025 entry. Submitting an incomplete application disqualifies you.

All candidates must read the following carefully before starting their applications.

  1. United World College (UWC), founded in 1962, is a global education movement that makes education a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future, and now has colleges in 18 different countries. UWC brings young people together from around the world to learn from each other and to study for the IB Diploma (grades 11 & 12) on full and partial scholarships.  

  1. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program is a two-year educational program that provides an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education and is recognised by many universities worldwide.  

  1. You need to know why you are interested in applying for UWC. If your interests and values align with those of UWC mission values, you may have higher chances of getting selected.   Visit www.uwc.org and learn more about UWC.

  2. If you are studying in grade 11 or 12 now or have already finished grade 12 but want to apply for UWC, you can do so as long as you meet all the criteria.

  3. If you are studying in an IB school now as an IB diploma 1st-year student and if you get selected to go to UWC, you must start in Year 1 at UWC even if you have already done your IB diploma 1st year elsewhere. 

  4. If you are eligible to apply, you can apply for a full or partial scholarship depending on your family's economic condition. The National Committee will make the final decision on your eligibility for scholarship.

  5.  If you have applied to or are thinking of applying to UWC through the Global Selection Process (GSP) or another National Committee, then you are  not  eligible  to  apply  through  the  UWC  Nepal National Committee.

  6. You cannot choose which country/UWC you want to go to but if you are selected, the selection committee & the national committee will make the final UWC allocations.  

  7. If you get selected, you will go to UWC in August 2025. Yes, the whole selection, nomination, and departure preparation, etc. takes one year. Whether you should join a plus-two program here in Nepal or elsewhere while applying to UWC is entirely your decision, but we encourage you to because it's always good to have a plan B. You can withdraw from your college if you get selected for UWC. 

  8. Application fee and recommendation letters are NOT required at this time for you to apply for UWC, but you will be asked to pay a fee of Rs. 3000 and submit recommendation letters if you are selected for an interview. A fee waiver is available for candidates coming from underprivileged backgrounds. Details will be sent to you via the interview invitation email. The interviews will take place here in Kathmandu.
